About the Replaceable Coil Stainless Steel Boiler
What Is a Coil Boiler?
Operating Principle
The coil surface transfers its heat to the domestic water in the tank; the cooled fluid returns to the source. Dual-coil (TDB) designs combine different energy sources for hybrid efficiency.
Advantages
Maximum energy efficiency
It operates on a heat-recovery principle: instead of burning separate electricity or gas to produce hot water, it uses heat already generated in the boiler, heat pump, or solar collector.
Fast, high-capacity heating
Optimized large-surface coils provide uninterrupted comfort even during simultaneous high demand in hotels, apartments, or sports facilities.
Hygienic and safe use
The smooth enameled inner surface reduces scale adhesion; a low-positioned coil design minimizes Legionella risk and provides homogeneous heat distribution.
Easy maintenance
With an optional electric heater pocket, the unit can also be used like an electric boiler in summer when the main boiler is offline.
Key Features
- TSB / TDB series: single coil 100–5000 L, dual coil 200–5000 L.
- Flanged replaceable coil — easy remove-and-fit for maintenance, cleaning, and renewal.
- S235JR construction; dual protection with DIN 4753-3 enamel + magnesium anode.
- Solar + boiler hybrid connection capability on dual-coil models.
- High-density polyurethane insulation; Termowen or vinyl outer cladding.
- Storage 10 bar / coil 16 bar / coil temperature 120 °C.
- Sensor pocket, thermometer, recirculation, and optional heater pocket.
- Design to TS 736 and TS EN 13445-3; pre-delivery 1.3× pressure test.
Installation and Commissioning
During commissioning, pressure testing, flow adjustment, temperature setpoint, and (if applicable) solar/boiler hybrid valving checks must be performed. The Tanpera technical team provides on-site support and training.
After-Sales Services
The Tanpera service network supplies spare coils, magnesium anodes, flange gasket sets, sensors, and connection components throughout the project life.
On replaceable-coil models, the coil can be removed via the flange for cleaning or renewal; this shortens maintenance time and supports long-term high-performance operation of the installation. Our technical team works with project teams for site commissioning, operator training, and fault response.
- Spare coil, anode, and gasket-set supply
- Periodic maintenance and scale / sediment cleaning planning
- Commissioning, training, and on-site technical support
- Performance checks and operating recommendations
Frequently Asked Questions
Hot fluid from an external heat source (boiler, heat pump, solar collector) circulates through the coil inside the tank and transfers heat indirectly to the mains water. The two fluids do not mix. The flanged coil can be removed for cleaning or replacement; TSB/TDB models from 100–5000 liters offer high-capacity storage.
In fixed-coil boilers the coil is integrated with the tank and offers an economical first investment. In replaceable models the coil is removed via a flange; cleaning, repair, or capacity change is much faster in hard-water conditions. The replaceable type is preferred in intensive-duty facilities that need frequent maintenance.
TSB are single-coil boilers (100–5000 L). TDB are dual-coil (200–5000 L); the lower coil is typically connected to solar energy and the upper coil to the main boiler for hybrid savings. Notation example: TANPERA-TSB 500/10.
Maximum storage operating pressure is 10 bar, coil 16 bar, and maximum coil operating temperature 120 °C. Every unit is tested at 1.3× operating pressure before delivery.
DIN 4753-3 enamel coating provides a smooth hygienic surface; heating and domestic waters do not contact each other. A low-positioned coil leaves no cold zone, reducing bacterial growth risk; the magnesium anode provides additional corrosion protection.
Storage volume and peak draw durations are the basis. Boiler volume is calculated from user/room count, unit energy need (Qhmax), diversity (Pn), and comfort (Pz) factors. Example: approximately a 1000 L single-coil boiler for a 20-apartment estate. Tanpera engineering supports detailed sizing.
Periodic magnesium anode inspection/replacement, tank cleaning via the bottom flange, and coil cleaning by removing it via the flange are recommended. In hard-water regions, softening or more frequent coil maintenance should be planned.
