About the LUMA Automatic Water Supply System
Automatic Water Supply
It protects plant integrity for pressure stability and corrosion-risk management.
Key Features
- Detects system water losses and feeds make-up water in a controlled manner.
- Maintains pressure stability and supports plant integrity.
- Provides reliable make-up water management in closed-loop systems.
Installation and Commissioning
During commissioning, pressure testing, flow adjustment, and temperature control must be performed. The Tanpera technical team provides on-site support and training.

Frequently Asked Questions
The LUMA Automatic Water Supply System is a pressure-controlled make-up unit that automatically compensates for water loss from evaporation and leakage in closed-loop plants. When system pressure falls, water is added from the make-up line; at excess pressure, make-up stops and safety is maintained.
Automatic make-up continuously monitors system pressure; no operator intervention is required. In systems operating within the correct pressure range, corrosion, cavitation, and air-ingress risk decrease. Water quality and flow are kept under control.
It is used in central heating-cooling, chiller circuits, boiler rooms, and industrial closed cooling lines. It is especially recommended for large-volume and multi-unit systems.
Hardness, conductivity, and corrosion parameters of make-up water directly affect system life. Filtration, softening, or DI water options should be planned according to the project water analysis.
Make-up pressure must be compatible with expansion-vessel pre-charge and static height difference. During commissioning, setpoints are adjusted according to the project design and documented.
Annual regulator, filter, and valve inspection is recommended. Water-meter and pressure-switch tests should be part of the regular maintenance routine.
